Anna Kritsak is a Chicago-based painter who specializes in abstract art. Anna’s paintings express deep emotions of contrasting philosophies.
Growing up in a loving family near the the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine, Anna studied architecture, providing her an opportunity to master academic drawing, painting and composition.
In the months following the escalation of the Russo-Ukraine war in 2022, Anna and her family moved to the United States as refugees. This was a very difficult time for Anna personally and with difficulty coping with the despair of what was happening to her country and family, she channeled her feelings into her painting. Part of her “Freedom” collection, “The Battle of Good and Evil” will be hanging in the Ukraine Volunteers Center in Wroclaw, Poland. Others in this collection are “Thankfully for women’s…, and “Lost.”
